Introducing the ArmorThane Equipment Troubleshooter: Fix Rigs Faster - ArmorThane Shop

Key takeaways

Summary
  • The ArmorThane Equipment Troubleshooter is an interactive diagnostic tool built into the ArmorThane Shop at /pages/troubleshooter.
  • It covers 48 machine and gun families, with 360 guided problem fixes and 525 error codes explained, built from manufacturer manuals.
  • Each result gives the likely cause, step-by-step fix and exact part numbers with add-to-cart.
  • A saved parts list, shareable links and print make it easy to hand off to your crew or office.
  • Example: a Reactor 2 P0AX Pressure Imbalance A High walks you through line restrictions, setup, feed supply and the heater rupture disk.

An alarm on the rig at 10 a.m. with a truck waiting is the worst time to hunt through a thick PDF manual. That is why we built the ArmorThane Equipment Troubleshooter, an interactive tool in the ArmorThane Shop that takes you from a symptom or error code to the likely cause, step-by-step fix and the exact part numbers you need.

What the Troubleshooter is

The Troubleshooter is a guided diagnostic built from manufacturer service manuals for Graco, PMC, Carlisle and ArmorThane equipment. At launch it covers:

Coverage At launch
Machine and gun families 48
Guided problem fixes 360
Error codes explained 525
Source Manufacturer manuals

Equipment covered

The 48 families span the whole rig, not just the proportioner:

  • Graco Reactor proportioners: original Reactor, Reactor 2 and Reactor 3, electric and hydraulic, plus Reactor A-25 and A-XP1
  • Graco E-10 and E-10hp
  • PMC proportioners: PH, PHX, PK and Premier
  • Spray guns: Graco Fusion AP, PC, CS, FX and MP, Probler P2, GX-7, GX-8, PMC AP-2, Xtreme and PX-7, Carlisle ST1 and the ArmorThane E-Z Gun
  • Heated hoses and sensors
  • Supply side: Graco T1 to T4 and PMC transfer pumps, and agitators
  • Rig support: compressors, air dryers, generators and fresh-air respirators
  • ArmorLine LP low-pressure machines

How it works in four steps

  1. Pick your equipment. Choose the proportioner, gun, pump, hose or air system you are working on.
  2. Pick the problem or error code. Choose a symptom like pressure imbalance or off-ratio, or enter the code on your display.
  3. Answer the guided checks. Short questions send you to specific inspection points on your rig, in a sensible order.
  4. Get the fix. You get the likely cause, step-by-step repair instructions and the exact part numbers, each with an add-to-cart button.

Parts you need build up in a saved My parts list, so you can finish diagnosing before you order. You can copy the list, add it to your cart, share a link to the result with a teammate or the office, or print it for the rig.

Walkthrough: Reactor 2 pressure imbalance (P0AX)

Here is how a common call plays out. Your Graco Reactor 2 throws P0AX, Pressure Imbalance A High. Graco defines this alarm as the pressure difference between A and B material being greater than the defined value.

  1. Select Graco Reactor 2, then enter P0AX.
  2. The Troubleshooter explains the code and starts the checks. Is material flow equally restricted on both lines? A partly plugged port or screen on one side can push that side's pressure up.
  3. Next: is the pressure imbalance value in System Setup set to a sensible maximum, so the machine is not alarming unnecessarily?
  4. Then the supply side: are the drums full, are the feed pumps getting the correct air pressure, and are the feed pumps and hoses free of blockage?
  5. Finally, the heater: is the heater inlet rupture disk leaking, or is the heater or the PRESSURE RELIEF/SPRAY valve plugged?

When a check points to the cause, you get the repair steps and, where a fix needs a part, the part number ready to add to your cart.

Safety: Relieve system pressure and follow your machine's shutdown procedure before opening any fluid fitting, strainer or heater. Graco specifically warns never to replace a rupture disk with a pipe plug.

Why we built it

Our tech line hears the same kinds of problems again and again: pressure imbalance, off-ratio material, heat that will not come up, a gun that will not trigger. Most of the answers already exist in manufacturer manuals, but they are spread across dozens of documents. The Troubleshooter puts that knowledge in one searchable place and connects each fix to the part that solves it.

Pro tip: Keep the Troubleshooter open on a phone in the rig and share the result link with your shop before you call. Whoever picks up will already know the machine, the code and the checks you have done.

Still stuck? Call a tech

The Troubleshooter narrows the problem fast, but it does not replace a trained technician. If the guided checks do not solve it, call (417) 831-5090 or contact us with your result link. For gun parts, the Parts Finder shows exploded diagrams so you can confirm a part by sight, and you can shop parts and rebuild kits any time.

Frequently asked questions

Which machines does the Troubleshooter cover?

48 machine and gun families, including Graco Reactor (original, Reactor 2 and Reactor 3), Reactor A-25 and A-XP1, E-10 and E-10hp, PMC PH, PHX, PK and Premier, major Graco, PMC and Carlisle guns, the E-Z Gun, heated hoses, transfer pumps, agitators, compressors, air dryers, generators, fresh-air respirators and ArmorLine LP machines.

Where does the troubleshooting information come from?

It is built from manufacturer service manuals for the equipment covered.

What does Reactor 2 error P0AX mean?

P0AX is Pressure Imbalance A High: the pressure difference between A and B material is greater than the defined value. Common causes include unequal restriction on the two lines, a low imbalance setting, low material, feed system problems or a leaking heater inlet rupture disk.

Can I share a Troubleshooter result?

Yes. You can share a link to the result, print it, and copy or add your saved parts list to the cart.
